B MARCO or BEZ? SIMPLY THE BEZ!
"Simply the Bez" represents the fact that I am simply myself, without masks or forced attitudes. I put passion and authenticity in everything I do, both on the track and in everyday life.
E My journey: from 12 to 72
I started racing with the number 12, my date of birth (November 12). A number I am very fond of and that I have tattooed on my hand. When I started racing in the MotoGP, the 12 was already taken, so I chose 72, which I am equally attached to today because it marked the evolution of my path.

Austin, we get off to a bad start but finish with a good comeback
It was not an easy weekend, in fact, probably one of the most complicated since the beginning of the season. Unfortunately, starting behind in this MotoGP immediately complicates everything for you: if you’re not in front, you’re forced to chase, to work twice as hard to get half the result. Yet, there are also positive things to take home from this race.
The second half gave me so much charge. Lap after lap I started to feel better, more comfortable, more “in tune” with the bike. I started riding the way I like, having fun, pushing. I made good overtakes, good braking, I recovered … and when it happens like that, even if you’re fighting for positions that don’t fully satisfy you, it triggers something inside you.
Too bad about that one lap down, because I was catching up hard on Jack (Miller) and maybe I could have gone for it. Maybe the result didn’t change, but another attack I would have pulled it out, for sure. And it’s those things that stay in your head after the race: not so much the placing, but the feeling. And those, today, at the end, came back good.
Of course, we need to fix things upstream. Qualifying remains our weak spot. With the new tire, the bike moves so much, it’s much more nervous, and I struggle to find the right limit. I want to push, but I can’t push too hard, otherwise I risk throwing the lap away. It’s a difficult balance to find: pushing without pushing too much. At that stage there, the bike is not yet “mine,” and this is also reflected in the first few laps of the race.
We are working to make the bike more stable, more precise. I know that as soon as we can make a step there, everything will change. Because when I can find rhythm and confidence, I can play with the top guys.
Now head to the next one. There’s more work to be done, more filing, but I’m taking this second half of the race home, because it reminded me how good it is to fight. And I want to go back to it right away.

take a tour of my archive: the stories that wrote my history.
he first race weekend of the MotoGP World Championship is never easy: a lot of work during the winter, high expectations… and a track that tests you straight away.
The Chang International Circuit gives nothing away. If conditions were perfect during testing, race weekend is a whole different story — everything becomes more complicated.
From FP1 we showed that the potential was there. Direct access to Q2 in first place, pole position, strong pace, a positive feeling.
Then in the Sprint, a small mistake that cost me dearly: when you’re always on the limit, there’s a very thin line between being a genius and being an idiot.
I was disappointed, no point hiding it. But deep down I knew one thing: that mistake would serve me well. In Sunday morning warm-up I was arriving at that corner on the limit every time and taking too many risks. I told myself, “Marco, wait, take a breath, otherwise we’ll do damage again today.”
For the race I felt fired up and fully focused. Very good start.
Straight into the lead. My Alba Rosa was fantastic: traction, stability, clean response every time. A bike that gives you confidence lap after lap.
I set myself a simple rule: push when needed, manage when it matters. No unnecessary rush. No mistakes.
From that moment on, it was a race built meter by meter. Leading from the first lap, consistent pace, maximum concentration.
After Saturday’s disappointment, it was the response I wanted to give to myself before anyone else.
The championship is very long. But starting like this gives you energy.
And above all, it reminds you that sometimes the difference comes down to one extra breath.

Valencia, What a Way to End the Season!
We arrived in Valencia super fired up, with a huge desire to finish the season strong — and with a little bet I was determined to win.
The weekend got off to a great start, both in Free Practice and qualifying, where I managed to take POLE POSITION. What a feeling!
In the Sprint, I got a good launch, but in the first few corners something felt off on acceleration, and I had to give up two positions. I tried to catch Alex (Marquez) and Pedro (Acosta), but I was really on the limit, and that little issue in corner exit came back a few times.
Still, a solid podium, but we had to get back to work to fine-tune the bike for Sunday’s full race.
And on Sunday, my AlbaRosa didn’t let me down…
Led every lap from start to finish. And when I saw the checkered flag, I knew I had won my bet — I’d get to take AlbaRosa home with me.
But first… it only felt right to ask for her hand. Manners first! She said yes, and the celebrations began.
Total chaos in the box — then a quick clean-up, and it was time for the end-of-season gala. I walked the red carpet with my whole family, and it was truly emotional. A moment to remember, and something I’m incredibly proud of.
Now it’s time for testing, and after that… finally, a bit of a break. Some celebrations back home, a bit of holiday time — just enough to recharge. But not too much, because the new season… starts very soon.

PORTIMAOOOOOO
What a weekend in Portimão! Pole position, a podium in the Sprint, and a race win on Sunday… honestly, it couldn’t have gone any better.
It started as one of those weekends with a lot of work to do — we really had to dig deep to get the setup dialed in for Sunday. After Saturday’s Sprint, we understood exactly where we could improve — nothing huge, just small changes that made a big difference where it counted.
On Sunday morning, in warm-up, it was clear: we were on the right path. On Saturday I wasn’t able to really fight with Alex (Marquez) and Pedro (Acosta), but I knew that over race distance, I’d have a proper shot.
I got a great start — and finally, in both the Sprint and the main race, I managed to hold on to the pole off the line, which made everything easier.
The pace was super high. I tried to open a gap. I had to manage the tyres, but I didn’t really think about it — I just pushed to the max, trying to stay smooth. I pulled away from Alex, but I kept the pace strong all the way.
Final corners… and then the celebrations exploded. In parc fermé I ended up flying over the Aprilia crew — what an incredible feeling.
The party keeps going, but soon it’s time to focus again — the final round in Valencia is coming up fast. We just need to keep working the way we’ve been doing: head down, full gas.
Next stop: Valencia. We’re ready.

A Tough Weekend in Sepang
It was a tough weekend in Sepang. Right from Free Practice, I was struggling a lot — I just couldn’t find the right grip. Missing out on Q2 made everything even harder. In qualifying, I couldn’t do better than P14, and I knew both races were going to be an uphill battle.
In the Sprint, I managed to recover well, and finished P6, which — considering how things had been going — was honestly a good result.
For Sunday’s race, we decided to start with the medium front tyre, thinking that with the heat and the race distance, it could help solve some of the issues that were slowing us down. But instead, I struggled even more. I couldn’t overtake or ride the way I wanted. It was a difficult race, where I gave everything — but just couldn’t perform as I hoped.
But honestly, on Sunday, the race wasn’t the most important thing.
When you see two riders airlifted out of the track and you don’t know how they are, it’s really hard to focus and put your helmet back on. This is our job — sometimes it’s pure joy, other times it’s really tough.
So, once the race was over, I could only think about what really matters right now: that José (Rueda) and Noah (Dettwiler) can come back to us soon and safe.
