What a weekend in Portimão!
Pole position, a podium in the Sprint, and a race win on Sunday… honestly, it couldn’t have gone any better.
It started as one of those weekends with a lot of work to do — we really had to dig deep to get the setup dialed in for Sunday.
After Saturday’s Sprint, we understood exactly where we could improve — nothing huge, just small changes that made a big difference where it counted.
On Sunday morning, in warm-up, it was clear: we were on the right path.
On Saturday I wasn’t able to really fight with Alex (Marquez) and Pedro (Acosta), but I knew that over race distance, I’d have a proper shot.
I got a great start — and finally, in both the Sprint and the main race, I managed to hold on to the pole off the line, which made everything easier.
The pace was super high. I tried to open a gap.
I had to manage the tyres, but I didn’t really think about it — I just pushed to the max, trying to stay smooth.
I pulled away from Alex, but I kept the pace strong all the way.
Final corners… and then the celebrations exploded.
In parc fermé I ended up flying over the Aprilia crew — what an incredible feeling.
The party keeps going, but soon it’s time to focus again — the final round in Valencia is coming up fast.
We just need to keep working the way we’ve been doing: head down, full gas.
Next stop: Valencia.
We’re ready.
