It had been a while since we last raced here, and coming back to such a beautiful track, packed with fans in the grandstands, just makes you want to give even more.
It\u2019s a track I really like \u2014 long, flowing, and so much fun to ride.<\/p>\n
A weekend where we pushed hard, took risks<\/strong>, and brought home a podium that really means something<\/strong>.<\/p>\n From the very first lap in FP, the bike felt like mine<\/strong>. You could see the improvement even in the single lap pace. In the Sprint I had a good start, held position, and started closing in on the front group. Even in warm-up I could feel we had a good pace. I held on for a few laps, then I saw Marc (Marquez) closing the gap. Then Acosta came up from behind. I had to fight to hold onto second. The celebrations have started, and it feels great to enjoy this moment with the whole team. The team did an incredible job, and we were immediately comfortable \u2014 in all conditions.<\/p>\nQualifying: making steps in time attack too<\/h3>\n
In Q2, despite a small crash, I still managed to qualify P4.
Second row \u2014 and from there, anything is possible.<\/strong><\/p>\nSprint: contact and damage, but we held strong!<\/h3>\n
Quartararo was just ahead of me \u2014 I locked onto him.
At one point he left a small gap on the inside and I dove in.
As he came back onto the line, we touched \u2014 the front wings flew off, and from that moment on, the bike was hard to control.
But I dug deep and still finished P4.<\/strong><\/p>\nSunday race: killer start, then a fight to the flag<\/h3>\n
Then in the race \u2014 I really had fun.
The first lap was insane<\/strong> \u2014 late braking, tight passes \u2014 and I found myself in the lead.<\/p>\n
He passed me. I tried to stay with him \u2014 in some sections I managed, in others he just had a little extra.<\/p>\n
In the final laps I was able to push hard, pull a gap, and cross the line in P2<\/strong>.
What a race. What a weekend.<\/strong><\/p>\nTime to unplug\u2026 just a little<\/h3>\n
Now we\u2019ve got the summer break \u2014 time to recharge the batteries for a few days.
Then it\u2019s back to work, head down, because we\u2019re back on track in August.
